Reviews of novelties from the world of digital camera
While the Samsung L77 was announced outside of the US a few weeks ago, today it was announced that the L77 would be available in the US in April. The “world’s thinnest” (at 21mm thick) 7 megapixel, 7x optical zoom L77 will retail for $399.

The L77 also features a shutter speed as fast as 1/1250 of a second and Samsung’s Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) image stabilization system. It can also shoot at sensitivities up to ISO 1600. For movie capture, the L77 captures MPEG-4 movies at 30 frames per second.
While the L77 is not an NV-branded camera, it does feature some of the same looks at the Samsung NV line. The black metal body houses a 2.5 inch, 230K pixel LCD.
You can store images on SD/MMC cards and the camera is powered by a lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
